Installation of disabled ramps and steps for MOTO motorway services. While providing as little disruption to the business, flow of traffic, parking and customer walk ways as possible we completed another job on time. Stage one began with excavating existing tarmac ramp then install of structural concrete wall for ramp and steps followed by steelwork foundations ready for installation of metal steps, ramp and signage.
Through our maintenance and commercial contracts with the MOTO motorway services we installed new signage, barriers, tarmac, retaining walls and disabled ramp. We had to remove existing tarmac ramps to the entrance of the Service Station, install two concrete retaining walls to allow the the metal steps to be fixed to the disable ramp. Supply and install large pad foundation for the metal disabled ramps to be installed upon, along with foundations for the large signage and new barriers. All works was completed two weeks before due date as minimal disruption to the business as possible.
Through our Civil team A&J constructed a beam and block raft foundation for a set of four houses.
Commercial construction from concept and design to tender and specification. Existing bungalow was demolished and replaced by a stunning three story building that consists of five two bedroom flats with a large there bedroomed penthouse, all with balconies. There were particular difficulties we had to overcome as this was built off the main Sandhurst Road into Tonbridge Wells and the only site access was a single 3 metre wide entrance with preservation orders on trees either side of the entrance.
Cladding and timber frame installation over 2 nights to rear of motorway service station. This work was completed to complete client satisfaction while providing no disruption to the business in a cost effective and timely manner while still being able to provide our signature high standard of work.
A&J constructed three offices and a meeting room above pre-existing units. We added all this extra space without impacting on the square footage of usable warehouse space and without effecting day to day work flow while construction occurred. These were fully finished by our team including all decorating, electrical works including heating, carpets, windows and door installation and staircase leading to the first floor.
Newbuild Offices at Morgate House. Oxted
We had a restricted site access of only 2.8m. The building was of conventional cavity wall construction with concrete floors & aluminium windows. On completion the building was handed over to the client fully carpeted and ready for occupation.
Warehouse & Car Park Extension
This job involved working on an industrial park in Gillingham. The project was in two parts first we had to build a side extension to a warehouse, to house a new plant room and air conditioning units on the roof. Then remove a grass area & bank to provide extra car parking.
